High school student Ed (played by Nat Wolff) inadvertently discovers the mysterious identity of his neighbor, the Uncle (played by Mickey Rourke), who turns out to be a retired FBI agent. With his help, Ed regains his confidence in life. However, he learns that this very interesting uncle is suffering from a terminal illness and has little time left, leaving him with complex feelings, as if he has been struck down by five bottles.
