The story takes place in the summer of 1993, when the girl Frida (played by Laia Artigas) loses her mother to illness, leaving the poor little girl without anyone to care for her. Frida's uncle Esteve (played by David Verdaguer) and aunt Margà (played by Bruna Cusí) take in the homeless Frida, but this also means that Frida must leave the big city where she was born and raised to adapt to rural life.
