The story takes place during the era when the Southern Song, Jin, and Western Xia coexisted. Li Chunhong (Hong Qi), the seventh prince of Western Xia, is uneducated in literature and inept in martial arts but excels at cooking and loves food. He is sent by his father, Emperor Li Renxiao, to study Han culture in the Southern Song. However, on the way, he is intercepted and killed by the first prince, Li Chunba, losing his memory. He arrives at Piaomiao Peak's Lingjiu Palace with his savior, Miss Qingyan. In Lingjiu Palace, he learns the techniques of Xiaoyao You and the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms and marries Miss Qingyan.
