The story begins in the countryside of Wyoming, where our protagonist Wyatt Earp (Kevin Costner) was born. To serve his country in the Civil War, Wyatt Earp bravely left home to head to the front lines, but was rejected from enlisting due to his age. He then began studying law and met a woman named Urilla (Betty Buckley). After falling in love, the two quickly walked down the aisle together. However, their happy days did not last long, as a severe illness took Urilla's life, plunging Wyatt Earp into despair and self-destruction. Just as he was on the brink of collapse, his father Nicholas (Gene Hackman) came to his side and guided him back onto the right path.
