Emma Mackey ("Sex Education") and Romain Duris ("The New Girlfriend") will star in the French film [Eiffel] (tentative title). Directed by Martin Burblong ("Mom or Dad?"), the film will revolve around the love story behind the Eiffel Tower. Emma will play Adrienne Bourgès, a mysterious woman from a prestigious background connected to the engineer Gustave Eiffel. The story tells how Eiffel, feeling pressured after successfully collaborating with Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi on the Statue of Liberty, seeks inspiration for something striking for the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris. During his search, he encounters Adrienne, and their forbidden passion inspires the design of the Eiffel Tower. Filming will begin in August.
