The story takes place in Haikou Town, Fujian, where Lin Tongshan (played by Yu Hai) and Chen Yazhen both grew up in martial arts families, leading to a very distant relationship between the two families. One day, the invading Japanese bandits kidnapped Chen Yazhen's child, Xiaomaotou. This incident was coincidentally witnessed by a young warrior named Shangdi Wanhxiong (played by Yu Rongguang), who came to China hoping to hone his skills. Overflowing with a sense of justice, he rescued Xiaomaotou but was wrongfully accused of murder in an accident, with only Xiaomaotou knowing of his innocence. Under the mediation of Master Shangzhi from the South Shaolin Temple, the Lin and Chen families put aside their grievances and reconciled. At this time, it was the Mazu Festival, and the streets were filled with celebrating parades. Amidst the joyful and peaceful atmosphere, the Japanese duo Kawashima and Yamamura were plotting their scheme to steal the priceless luminous pearl from the Mazu statue.
