Long Jiajun (played by Andy Lau) comes from a rich family and has a successful career, being not only the chairman of the company but also worth hundreds of millions. However, he has a blank slate when it comes to emotions, remaining indifferent to his cousin (played by Eileen Tung)'s infatuation, while developing feelings for a woman named Yueguang (played by Chingmy Yau) whom he happens to see on the street. Yueguang runs a teahouse with her mother (played by Lisa Yang) on Lantau Island, where her mother sometimes makes a bit of illegitimate money by cheating at mahjong. Coincidentally, Yueguang ends up working as an employee in Long Jiajun's company. One day, after a dispute with his cousin while taking a boat ride, Long Jiajun is accidentally kicked into the sea and ends up mingling with smugglers. While being chased by the police, he inadvertently stumbles into Yueguang’s home. He then decides to disguise himself as a mainland smuggler and starts working at Yueguang's little shop, all the while his assistant (played by Ng Man-tat) is searching for him...
