One day, Carla received a call from her sister saying that their father hadn't spoken for a long time and seemed to be ill. Carla rushed home that day to Almeria. There, when the doctors told her that her father only had a few months to live, she couldn't believe it and decided to take him to Barcelona for treatment. Thus, they embarked on a journey to escape reality, during which they would ultimately say goodbye. The film received three nominations at the 2018 Spanish Goya Awards, including Best New Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress.
