Hae-won (played by Jung Eun-chae), a university student longing to become a star admired by many, faces the impending immigration of her mother to Canada. The final moments shared between mother and daughter are filled with joy and sorrow. After a few plain yet brief hours, Hae-won finds herself alone. Feeling down, she reaches out to her on-and-off boyfriend, Lee Sung-jun (played by Lee Sun-kyun), who is also a professor and director at her film school. Their relationship, doomed to remain hidden in the shadows due to Lee's established family, can never be brought into the light, no matter the heartfelt sweet nothings he has spoken. As rumors circulate around the school about the scandalous affair between a female student and her professor, conflicts arise, leading to arguments and ultimately, avoidance of each other. How to face it? How to choose? How to let go?
