There is no banquet that does not disperse in the world. However, the charm of the host and the nature of the guests can influence the length and existence of the banquet. In the old cinema, the limping ticket seller (Chen Xiangqi) has the intent to host a banquet, but the young projectionist (Li Kangseng) is unwilling to be a guest; the swordsman (Shi Juan) in the movie "Dragon Gate Inn" is lost in his old images, but time has ruthlessly cast him aside; a Japanese man searches like a ghost, yet there are no companions willing to stay by his side for long. Even though the cinema no longer sees its former splendor and has become exceptionally quiet, it cannot be compared to the function of a home (even a hotel). Those who come and go are, to some extent, people wanting to hide and close themselves in darkness. They have naive yet strange thoughts, but time is the most unreliable (people grow old and die, old cinemas will be demolished), and trusting it will only bring more sadness.
