Three years into the Korean War, American imperialism had no choice but to sit at the negotiating table. However, the enemy was unwilling to accept defeat and frequently sent spies across the border to gather intelligence on our side, turning the 38th Parallel into a second battlefield. Colonel Davis of the U.S. military (played by Dola Khov) planned to send spies to North Korea to find the Japanese undercover agent Yamamoto Taro (played by Zhang Zhanwang) to retrieve the 002 intelligence. After careful consideration, he entrusted the mission to Qiao San (played by Wang Yunting) and Cui Chunsheng (played by Pei Youyou). Cui, having been trained in the Japanese intelligence agency and being a Korean himself, had also been brainwashed by the agency.
