The film "Three Generations," written by Nikole Beckwith, depicts a young New Yorker, Ray (played by Elle Fanning), navigating her journey of transitioning from female to male, while her single mother, Maggie (played by Naomi Watts), is forced to come to terms with the fact that her only daughter is becoming her son.
