The story takes place in a small town on the west coast of the United States, where the arrival of developers disrupts the peaceful lives of local residents. They attempt to seize the land that people rely on for survival, making displacement seem inevitable for the residents. Mickey (played by Sean Astin) and Brand (played by Josh Brolin) are brothers who come across an old pirate treasure map by chance. This discovery excites the brothers, as if the treasure map is true, they could save their home. With the help of their friends, the brothers find the entrance to the treasure, which is located beneath the Fratelli family home. To everyone's dismay, the Fratelli family has a notorious reputation in town, and after the news of the treasure spreads, they have clearly begun taking action to claim it for themselves.
