A-Dong (played by Yu Wenle), who suffers from bipolar disorder, was sentenced to live in the Castle Peak Hospital for accidentally killing his mother (played by Jin Yanling), who was tormented by pain. After his rehabilitation and discharge, he moves into a partitioned room with his father, Huang Dahai (played by Zeng Zhiwei), who works as a port driver. Huang Dahai tries to show concern for his son, but A-Dong does not appreciate it, as he has long held a grudge against his father for abandoning the family. A-Dong re-enters society but faces discrimination from his friends. Struggling to calm himself, he also seeks ways to reconnect with Jenny (played by Fang Haowen), with whom he almost became engaged. However, when he finally finds Jenny, the situation turns out to be quite different.
