Ove (played by Rolf Lassgård) is a rigid and stubborn old man whose wife passed away from illness six months ago, leaving him alone in this chaotic world. Every morning, Ove makes his rounds in the community to ensure all vehicles are parked correctly, berating those that violate the rules, and chasing away stray cats and dogs that disturb the environment. To the residents, Ove is the "bad neighbor from hell," but everyone understands that this is actually Ove's deep expression of love for the community. One day, Ove gets fired from his job, which he had held for decades, and feeling disheartened and detached from the world, he decides to commit suicide. However, at this crucial moment, a woman named Parvaneh (played by Bahar Pars), along with her husband and two children, moves in next door, becoming an obstacle to Ove's suicide plan.
