Evans (Louis de Funès) is the head of the dance troupe. He is sharp-tongued and extremely competitive, making life unbearable for the troupe members under his leadership. Apart from Evans and his nephew Philippe (Olivier De Funès), the troupe is made up entirely of young women. Evans shows no tenderness towards them, scheduling rigorous training sessions every day, and he forbids the girls from associating with any men—let alone thinking of dating or marrying. When Francis (Noëlle Adam), the leader of the dance troupe, plans to sneak out at night for a date with a man, Evans learns of this and decides to thwart the romance at all costs, even using his own nephew as a decoy.
