Living in Bangkok's Chinatown, a detective named A Tan (played by Aaron Kwok), whose parents disappeared when he was young, has always aspired to join the police force with his friend Fong Tse (played by Lau Ching-Wan). However, due to severe nearsightedness, he couldn't fulfill his dream. Unwilling to give up, he became a private detective but could only handle trivial cases, earning little money and having a terrible reputation, often relying on Fong Tse for financial support. One day, A Tan's friend Fat Lung (played by Shing Fui-On) entrusts him to investigate a woman, claiming he is being hunted by her. Out of curiosity, A Tan discovers that the woman is called Mok Wai-Sum, but as he seeks out related individuals, a series of strange incidents occur: people connected to Mok Wai-Sum begin to die, and A Tan consistently finds himself as the first discoverer, almost becoming an incarnation of death.
