In a frozen land, a terrible dragon wreaks havoc. On certain days, the people must sacrifice beautiful girls to become the dragon's "bride." A brave dragon slayer, after much hardship and with true love for the girl, finds the dragon's lair and kills the dragon, bringing peace back to the land. After several decades, the story of the cruel dragon and the brave dragon slayer has become legend. On this day, the beautiful duke's youngest daughter, Mira (played by Mariya Poezzhaeva), is about to hold a grand wedding. The dragon slayers sing the dragon song at the wedding, inadvertently awakening the evil dragon. The bride, Mira, is taken away by the dragon and left on a deserted island.
