The story has won the favor of Japan's national treasure-level actor, Kirin Kiki, who makes her debut as a producer and acts in the film. Based on a true story, Japanese and Thai police joined forces to crack a nearly one billion yen transnational fraud case. The arrested fraudster is a woman in her sixties, who falsely claims to be 38 and uses her beauty to deceive others, causing a sensation across Japan. The female protagonist collaborates with the fraudster's lover to con vulnerable individuals with sweet talk, exchanging it for ill-gotten gains and a life of luxury.
