Mitsuhiro (played by Shunsuke Kazama) is determined to become a boxer, dedicating all his energy and time in hopes of one day achieving the glory of becoming a world champion. One day, Mitsuhiro's brother (played by Tsuruno Tsuyoshi) entrusts him with two kittens to take care of, one named Kuro and the other Ji. Mitsuhiro, who is solely focused on honing his boxing skills, has never had experience caring for small animals, so at first, he is completely unable to adjust to having these two "little troublemakers" in his life. However, over time, and with the help of "cat scholar" Mei (played by Mayu Matsuoka), the relationship between Mitsuhiro and the kittens becomes closer. During a match, Mitsuhiro unexpectedly gets injured, and this serious injury prevents him from continuing his boxing dreams, leaving his life devoid of hope and meaning in an instant.
