The wealthy heir Simon (played by Stanislas Merhar) is deeply in love with his girlfriend Arianna (played by Sylvie Testud), and his love has reached a pathological level. He wants to know Arianna's daily whereabouts, what she says, and the people she interacts with; any hint of emotional rupture causes Simon immense pain.
