In the film directed by Kingsley (Jeremy Irons), Nikki (Laura Dern) plays a woman named Susan, whose lover in the story is Billy, portrayed by Devon (Justin Theroux). There is a legend surrounding this movie that the first crew to film this script experienced some terrifying and bizarre occurrences, leading to the film's abandonment. Nikki has a controlling husband, and under the immense pressure from him, she subconsciously retreats into the fictional character of Susan. Over time, strange individuals begin to appear around Nikki, and a series of scientifically inexplicable events occur in her life. Lost in the chaos and confusion, Nikki can no longer distinguish whether she is Nikki or Susan.
