Cory Michael Smith, Michael Chiklis (from "Gotham"), and Virginia Madsen (from "Designated Survivor") will star in an independent drama about AIDS titled [1985]. The film is written and directed by Asian-American filmmaker Yen Tan ([Hello, Goodbye], [People You May Know]), and the story follows Smith's character, an AIDS patient in the late stages, who decides to return to his hometown in Texas to reveal his situation to his conservative parents.
