The film's story is adapted from ancient myths of Pakistan. The protagonist, Alaya, is a brave, confident, and just little boy. After saving a markhor, he gains the ability to talk to animals. On his journey to escort the markhor home, he uses his wits to outsmart poachers and wolves. The snow leopard, a unique animal of the Chinese Himalayan region, plays a key role in helping Alaya overcome the poachers.
