In Canada’s Emerald National Park, two completely isolated packs of wolves coexist. Kate (voiced by Hayden Panettiere) is the daughter of the Western pack’s leader, and for her, principles, duties, and responsibilities are paramount. Humphrey (voiced by Justin Long), from the other pack, is carefree and fun-loving, enjoying life to the fullest. Kate is about to marry Garth (voiced by Chris Carmack), the son of the Eastern pack’s leader, not for love, but to prevent an impending terrible war between the two packs. On the day of the wedding, fate intervenes as Kate and Humphrey are captured by park rangers and sent to Idaho’s “Saw Tooth” National Park. To avoid unnecessary conflict between the packs, they escape. Will they make it back in time to resolve the conflict before war breaks out? This film was nominated for the Best Animated Feature at the 83rd Academy Awards.
