On a picturesque island in the sea, a young boy named Ben (voiced by David Rawle) and his pregnant mother Bronagh (voiced by Lisa Hannigan) spend their last happy and unforgettable night together. Soon after, his sister Saoirse (voiced by Lucy O'Connell) is born, but their mother passes away. Six years later, their father Conor (voiced by Brendan Gleeson) has yet to recover from the loss of his wife, while the imaginative Saoirse stumbles upon a shell flute left by her mother, nearly drowning in the sea as a result, which ultimately leads their grandmother to forcibly take the two children away from the island. Struggling to adapt to life in the city, the siblings encounter three strange little fairies while roaming the streets. They hope to return home with the help of "Selkie" Saoirse’s song, and thus begins their magical adventure... This film is based on Irish folklore.
