The sunny and adventurous Robin (Andrew Garfield) encounters the gentle and beautiful Diana (Claire Foy). The two fall in love and quickly decide to enter into marriage. However, in Robin's twenty-eighth year, a terrible disease takes away all possibilities and hope in his life. Stricken with polio, Robin loses all mobility, relying on machines even for breathing. The doctors predict that Robin can live for at most three months. Surprisingly, in such dire circumstances, Diana does not give up hope. She brings Robin home and cares for him meticulously, providing not only physical support but also the mental reasons and motivation for him to keep living. In the face of true love, even the cruel and merciless disease takes a step back.
