In a sleepy town that has been established for three hundred years, there lives a young boy named Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee) who can see ghosts. However, this ability brings him endless trouble, as people around him, including his parents and sister, think he is just a delusional crazy person. Only a chubby classmate, Neil (voiced by Tucker Albrizzi), who is also mocked at school, believes him and is willing to be his friend. One day, the reclusive and eccentric Uncle Prenderghast (voiced by John Goodman) approaches Norman. The uncle is also a medium and tells Norman a significant secret: the ghost of a witch, who was killed when the town was founded, is about to awaken, and the witch will unleash a terrifying zombie curse on the townsfolk. Soon after, the uncle dies, and the witch’s fateful day is approaching. Norman must find a way to save his town…
