The Addams Family welcomes a new baby, leaving Morticia (Anjelica Huston) overwhelmed. Gomez (Raul Julia) hires a nanny named Debbie, who wins over the family. However, Pugsley and Wednesday see through her intentions—she is a notorious "black widow" who killed her parents as a child and subsequently murdered two husbands for their money. Before the children can expose Debbie, she has sent them off to summer camp and married Uncle Fester. After the wedding, Debbie plots to kill Uncle Fester, attempting to make it look like an accident, but each attempt fails. Though summer camp is fun, the children continually frustrate their teachers and disrupt their peers' activities, hoping to get sent home early to warn their family: Beware of Debbie...
