Stéphane (Daniel Auteuil) and Maxime (André Dussollier) are longtime friends whose contrasting personalities create a remarkable chemistry, making them perfect partners at work. They jointly establish a violin workshop that provides services for selling and repairing violins, leading a peaceful and happy life. As a customer of the workshop, Camille (Emmanuelle Béart) captures the attention of both friends during her first visit, with Maxime immediately embarking on a passionate pursuit of her, but Camille’s interest lies with the seemingly indifferent Stéphane. Caught in a web of rejection and attraction, the romantic entanglement among the three cannot have a happy ending. Years later, when they come together again, will they feel a twinge of sadness due to past hesitations and fears?
