Ten years ago, truck driver Lincoln Hawk (played by Sylvester Stallone) abandoned his wife and son to live a wandering life. As the years passed and his experiences accumulated, he gradually came to realize the importance of family, and his longing for his wife and son grew stronger. One summer, Hawk's son Mike Catton (played by David Mendenhall) is about to begin his summer vacation while his mother Christina (played by Susan Blakely) is hospitalized due to illness.
