The story continues from the previous installment, where Mal (played by Dove Cameron) and Ben (played by Mitchell Hope) overcome countless obstacles and finally come together. Since then, Mal begins to learn how to be a qualified princess. However, as time goes by, Mal gradually realizes that although her current life is abundant, it does not bring her happiness, and she must make a choice between the past and the future. One day, Mal and Ben have a fierce argument, and in anger, Mal returns to the Isle of the Lost, where she sees her old friends Uma (played by China Anne McClain), Harry (played by Thomas Doherty), and Gil (played by Dylan Playfair) once again. Upon returning to the Isle of the Lost, Mal changes back into her old clothing and hair color, and only then does she truly feel like her real self again.
