Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse) is a knight living in the medieval period, but finds himself transported to modern Ohio by a witch's spell. It is Christmas Eve, and the entire city is filled with joyful holiday spirit. However, this atmosphere fails to touch the local schoolteacher Brooke (Vanessa Hudgens), who has just left a failed relationship and is engulfed in gloom. In such circumstances, the bewildered Sir Cole meets Brooke, who kindly takes in the homeless knight and teaches him how to survive in modern society. As time passes, they develop a genuine friendship. Sir Cole discovers that his transportation to the present was for a specific mission; if he completes the task, he can return to his own time.
