The story begins and ends in Montreal. A writer in search of inspiration (Rafe Spall) inadvertently learns about the legendary story of Pi Patel (Irrfan Khan). Pi's father (Adil Hussain) runs a zoo. This unique living environment shapes young Pi's (Suraj Sharma) views on faith and human nature. When Pi is 17, his parents decide to immigrate to Canada for a better life, and he must leave his first love behind. On the ship to Canada, they encounter a cruel French cook (Gérard Depardieu). That night, a storm that initially excites Pi suddenly becomes a disastrous event that swallows the cargo ship. Miraculously, Pi survives, drifting on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean, accompanied by an unexpected friend—Richard Parker, a Bengal tiger. Thus, the incredible adventure begins unexpectedly...
