Richard (played by Jean Dujardin) and Claire (played by Agnès Blanchot) have been married for many years, raising their lovely little daughter together. Their lives are filled with happiness in a calm environment. Richard is a police officer, while Claire is an anesthesiologist, and both have very busy jobs, which often leaves their young daughter home alone. Tragedy strikes when a psychopathic criminal breaks into their home, brutally killing the girl. This horrific news shatters their once-perfect family.
