On a sunny day, as the high school league approaches, Kaneshiro Masaru is practicing intensively in front of the bike department of Chiba Prefectural Sōhoku High School. Soon after, Kinjō Yūsuke arrives, and Kaneshiro tells him that cycling is a sport that requires team spirit and hopes he can get along well with the otaku Onoda Sakamichi. Next, Onoda appears, carrying a bag full of figures and lost in his own world. Kinjō tries to strike up a conversation but ends up being seen as a fellow anime enthusiast by Onoda. Throughout Onoda's various bombastic antics, Kinjō is nearly driven to the brink of insanity. During the conversation, other club members like Imaizumi Shunsuke, Naruko Shōdai, Terashima Junta, Aoyagi Hajime, and Tadokoro Jūn arrive one after another. Kaneshiro instructs everyone to practice hill climbing according to their grade. At this moment, however, Onoda is flustered and lacking in motivation...
