Samurai Sasahara Isaburo (played by Masakazu Tamura) of the Aizu Matsudaira clan enters his wife’s family as a son-in-law and shares a respectful relationship with his wife (played by Meiko Kaji). His son Goro (played by Naoto Ogata) is straightforward and filial.
