The film is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by American author Gayle Forman, which has been popular in 18 countries. The gifted classical music girl Mia and her family encounter a serious car accident. In a coma, her soul suddenly leaves her body, allowing her to see the future between life and death. In this trailer, Moretz reads the prologue of the novel as voiceover while witnessing herself at the accident scene, lying on the operating table, as her boyfriend and friends rush to the hospital, and nurses whisper in her ear, all while she contemplates the difficult choice: to follow her parents into the afterlife or to wake up and continue living.
