This episode is listed separately for Emmy Award consideration as a television film and is adapted from the original story "The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton." Watson is called by a friend to a place where young people gather to use drugs, and unexpectedly runs into Sherlock there. Watson brings Sherlock back to Baker Street and is surprised to find that Sherlock has a girlfriend, who turns out to be his wedding attendant, Janine. However, Watson soon discovers that Sherlock is dating his attendant due to a case he is investigating. Sherlock pretends to propose in order to infiltrate the office of extortion expert Magnussen, and Watson accompanies him.
