The cold-hearted TV mogul Frank (played by Bill Murray) prioritizes profit above all else, even sacrificing the lives of his audience to boost ratings. However, on Christmas Eve, his boss who died seven years ago returns in a mysterious form to warn Frank, informing him that three uninvited guests will visit him. The three guests include a taxi driver who takes him on a journey through his past, present, and future, a fairy who helps him experience love and family, and a ghost who plays a frightening creature on live television. Guided by these three mysterious figures, Frank begins to undergo a series of shocking events. Through his journey with the taxi driver, Frank witnesses his past indifference and loneliness, realizing how he has alienated those around him in pursuit of profit. Accompanied by the fairy, he feels the warmth of being loved and cared for, and comes to rediscover what truly matters in life. Under the ghost's intimidation, he also becomes aware of the terrifying consequences of his actions, as well as the emptiness and meaninglessness of chasing profits. Ultimately, Frank understands the true meaning of Christmas and realizes that the essence of life lies not in the pursuit of money and power, but in caring for and cherishing those around him. He begins to change his behavior, reevaluates his life, and decides to pursue a more meaningful way of living.
