At his birthday party, Bryston (played by Brian Bonsall) receives his first blank check of his life. Even at a young age, he understands that only by having money does he hold authority at home, thus Bryston has an exceptionally strong desire and obsession for wealth. One day, Bryston's car is damaged by Quigley (played by Miguel Ferrer), who has recently finished his prison term but clearly has no intention of reforming.
