A timeless mythological film co-directed by Mitchell Powell and two other directors. The story is based on Arab mythology and roughly describes a wicked vizier named Jafar who uses cunning schemes to imprison King Ahmadi of Baghdad, then proclaims himself king. Ahmadi later escapes with the help of a small god named Abu, who is also imprisoned with him. To gain the princess, Jafar blinds Ahmadi and transforms Abu into a dog. Ultimately, with the help of a giant, Ahmadi manages to shoot and kill Jafar, reclaiming his position as the king of Baghdad. The directing technique is notably cohesive and fluid, with an impressive use of light and shadow. Additionally, the film features many grand architectural sets and models, utilized appropriately, showing no apparent flaws even after editing.
