Chris (Liam Hemsworth) has always aspired to be a police officer but, after facing repeated failures, he ends up at Empire Armored Truck Company, working as a bodyguard. Soon, Chris realizes that the security setup in the company, while appearing impregnable, is actually full of flaws. He shares this secret with his friend Eddie (Michael Angarano), only to find that his offhand remark leads to a series of major troubles. Chris decides to team up with Eddie, and they plan a cash heist, intending to flee after its success. However, this seemingly smooth plan increases in risk due to the involvement of astute detective James (Dwayne Johnson). Meanwhile, the gang boss controlling the area also takes an interest in their plan.
