Dr. Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) gains immense local fame due to his special ability to communicate with animals. In addition to humans, animals continuously arrive seeking his help, leaving Dr. Dolittle overwhelmed and inadvertently neglecting his family's feelings. One day, a group of animals approaches Dr. Dolittle, as their forest home is about to be cut down. They hope that he can help protect their only home.
