During the Spanish Civil War, people fled to France to escape dictatorship. Faced with a sudden influx of a large foreign population, the French authorities concentrated them in camps, where living conditions were extremely harsh. Despite the barbed wire barriers, the painter José tried every means to communicate with the outside world, searching for his lost partner, and became friends with a guard. Meanwhile, director Aurel, coming from an illustration background, sought to make José's artwork shine again, integrating it smoothly into the film, emphasizing the power of art and the spirit of resilience in difficult times, perfectly echoing the protagonist's words: “Beautiful ideas will fade away if they don't meet beautiful people.”
