Dae-Soo (played by Kang Dong-won) was once a promising athlete, and Mi-Na (played by Song Hye-kyo) could have become a sensational idol singer. However, an unexpected pregnancy led these two underage youths to resolutely decide to give up their futures and dreams. They got married and early on took on the immense responsibilities of parenthood. However, what they didn’t expect was that their child, Ya-Lin, was diagnosed with a rare congenital progeria. Despite this, optimistic Dae-Soo and kind-hearted Mi-Na did not abandon their unfortunate child. On the contrary, with their meticulous care, Ya-Lin gradually grew up. Seventeen years flew by, and despite a life filled with suffering, Ya-Lin became a cheerful "boy" who looked eight but was actually eighty. By coincidence, the family’s story was turned into a news report by a television station, suddenly thrusting the three of them into the spotlight of public opinion.
