In the early 1980s, Reiger Sharp (played by Sylvester Stallone) from Pittsburgh and Kid McDon (played by Robert De Niro) staged two classic boxing matches that captivated the world. However, shortly after the 1984 match, the rising star Reiger suddenly announced his retirement and quickly squandered all his wealth, reverting back to being an ordinary worker selling his labor for a living. In contrast, Kid continued to decline, endorsing various low-profile advertisements and passing time with talk. One day in 2014, Reiger's former manager's son, Young Dante (played by Mason Mackie), showed up and invited him to participate in the production of a game. Unexpectedly, at the production site, Reiger got into a fight with the uninvited Kid, and the video of their brawl went viral online, bringing their 30th anniversary rematch back on the agenda. However, with both men long past their prime, can they cope with the erosion of time, let go of their grudges, and complete this long-overdue showdown...?
