Since his rock dreams were shattered, Ryoichi Suzuki (Hiroki Hasegawa) has been living a dull life working at a musical instrument company. He is timid and has almost become the target of bullying and ridicule from everyone in the company. Among these people, only Yuko Terashima (Kumiko Aso), who also feels lonely, casts sympathetic glances his way. One day, Ryoichi buys a small turtle and confides to it in his room about his unfulfilled dreams. However, after being mocked by his colleagues, he angrily throws the turtle into the toilet. The turtle ends up in a mysterious place, where a ragged old man (Toshiyuki Nishida) possesses magical candy that can make abandoned toys and animals speak, and the small turtle accidentally eats the candy that grants wishes.
