On a deserted island, Hank (Paul Dano) has long given up on life and decides to end his own life. At a critical moment, a corpse washes up on the beach. The corpse (Daniel Radcliffe) is foul-smelling and pale, yet seems strangely alive. Hank is overjoyed and names his unusual friend Manny.
