Seventeen-year-old Maria (Kat Graham) has just been released from juvenile detention and returned to her hometown, where she decides to start a new life. One day, by chance, Maria arrives at Professor Daniels' dance studio, and her passion for dance quickly helps her find her stage there. Brandon (Randy Wayne) notices the passion and talent hidden within Maria and invites her to train with the HD dance team. Meanwhile, Maria's ex-boyfriend Luis (Christopher 'War' Martinez) returns to her life, also extending an olive branch to her. However, Maria does not want to repeat the past and rejects Luis.
